Logistical information
In previous years, a shuttle service
has taken walkers and crew from the hotels to the opening ceremonies
and from closing ceremonies back to the hotels. We highly recommend
that you purchase shuttle passes and leave the driving to someone else. There is no breakfast service
provided on Day 1 (opening ceremonies), and it's a couple of miles to
the first pit stop. Be sure that you fuel up before you start the walk,
either by packing a light snack or hitting the free continental
breakfast at the hotel. And fill up that water bottle while you're at
it. You will be exhausted (and yet
exhilarated) at the end of the walk. Consider getting a hotel room for
Sunday night and rest up before you travel home.
